Short synopsis of the play - VISITING GRISHKA:

A man and his friend are packing for a weekly fishing trip. The man will also make his weekly stop at the State Hospital to visit his son, who has been since birth a vegetable - unable to speak or react. But this time the father also packs a gun, as he plans to mercy-kill his son. Later, alone with his father, the boy begins to magically rave non-stop about the joys of life, and the wilderness, and the true power of belief. The friend returns from parking the car to find the boy in his usual catatonic state, seeing and saying nothing. The father however is on the floor, a shattered man.
